Arthritis - Overview


Arthritis is the inflammation of joints. It involves one or more joints. Joints are the places where two bones meet, such as, your elbow or knee. Arthritis causes pain, swelling and stiffness in the joints. All these symptoms typically worsen with age.

Doctors say that there are many different forms of Arthritis (more than 100). Most of them are chronic and the location and severity of symptoms can vary depending on the type of the disease.
