Hydrocele - Overview

A hydrocele is a collection of fluids in the scrotum, surrounding the testicle. This collection causes the scrotum to bulge.  This may occur either on one side or on both the sides. But these are usually painless.

These may occur in either gender but more common in males especially children. Most of the hydrocele may be present at the time of birth which may be cured by one year of age. If it lasts for more than a year, then, surgical correction is required.
